A. MSDN is the Microsoft developer network, or when it comes to visual studio it is essentially the help files. If you install it with MSDN all the help files are local and fast. If you do not, you will need to go the msdn website all the time. It's a small difference, but it can chew up a lot of time waiting for the site to load, best to get it with the MSDN install.
